BLS is designed for healthcare professionals and students entering medical fields. Heartsaver is for individuals with little or no medical training who need CPR/AED or First Aid for work or personal preparedness.
Is an in-person skills session required after blended learning?
Yes. Blended learning includes an online portion (such as HeartCode BLS), but you must successfully complete an instructor-led, in-person hands-on skills session to receive your eCard.
Do students receive an official AHA eCard?
Students who successfully complete all applicable course requirements receive the appropriate official American Heart Association course-completion eCard through the AHA eCard system. The eCard is valid for two years.
How do I verify my employer's course requirement?
